The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has announced a partnership with the Tribe Culture Festival 2025 in the United States. The GTA will provide official endorsement and on-site representation at the flagship event, which is set to take place across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The collaboration is in line with Ghana’s Black Star Experience initiative and is strategically timed alongside the FIFA Club World Cup and the build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The goal of the partnership is to bring together football, music, and commerce to strengthen connections between the continent of Africa and Ghanaian-American communities.
The Tribe Culture Festival will unfold in two parts on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, NJ. The event will kick off at 9 am with ‘Cup Quest,’ featuring family-friendly soccer clinics, cultural panels, youth matches, and a vibrant Vibe Market. In the evening, from 5 pm to 11 pm, it will transform into a music and nightlife experience for those aged 21 and above, showcasing genres like Afrobeat, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, and Reggae/Soca, with live DJs and creative activations.
It is expected that the event will attract over 10,000 attendees from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and beyond, with over 100 vendors and an estimated digital reach of 5 million.
The Tribe Culture Festival is an annual multicultural celebration that aims to unite the global Black Diaspora through sport, culture, and commerce. This year’s event is part of a series of activations planned to coincide with major international football tournaments.
In its involvement with the festival, the GTA will endorse the event as part of its Black Star Experience campaign. The Authority will provide an on-site booth and branding, ensure senior official participation in opening ceremonies and press coverage, and lead a CEO delegation to foster city-level partnerships in Paterson and Philadelphia.
This collaboration aligns with Ghana’s strategic agenda to boost tourism, engage with the diaspora, and promote its culture ahead of global sporting events. It also provides Ghanaian performers, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals with access to a influential audience across key North American diaspora communities.
In conclusion, the partnership between the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Tribe Culture Festival 2025 represents a significant opportunity to showcase Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and strengthen ties with diaspora communities in the United States. The event promises to be a vibrant celebration of sport, music, and culture, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds in a spirit of unity and celebration.
