FKF and CAF Collaborate to Strengthen Integrity in Kenyan Football

Football Kenya Federation (FKF), in partnership with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), recently organized a two-day integrity workshop in Nairobi with the aim of combating match manipulation and promoting good governance within the sport.

The workshop commenced on Wednesday, 20th August, with the participation of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from the FKF Premier League, and concluded the following day with a session dedicated to top-level referees.

Leading the workshop were Sacré Guébaé, Manager of Legal & Integrity at CAF’s Legal Affairs Division, and Dennis Gicheru, FKF’s Legal and Integrity Officer.

“The Federation is fully committed to addressing integrity issues in Kenyan football. Match manipulation is a serious concern that requires immediate attention, and it was essential to engage with FKFPL CEOs and referees on this matter,” stated Gicheru.

Gicheru expressed gratitude towards CAF for their collaboration and specifically acknowledged the support provided by CAF’s integrity department in enhancing FKF’s internal capabilities in integrity-related affairs.
