After successfully selling her public-relations firm Bevel for $75 million, founder Jessica Schaefer is back with a new venture in the wellness industry. This time, she is focusing on women’s fertility with her new company, Lushi.

Lushi aims to connect women with concierge doctors and nurses to assist them with egg freezing and IVF. The company’s unique approach involves handling every aspect of a woman’s fertility journey, from monitoring hormones to managing bloodwork and providing education on the entire process.

The fertility industry is already a booming $30 billion market and is expected to grow even further in the coming years. Influential figures like Chrissy Teigen, Emma Roberts, and Kourtney Kardashian have been vocal about their fertility struggles, sparking conversations and raising awareness on the topic.

Jessica Schaefer’s personal experience with egg freezing inspired her to launch Lushi. After encountering challenges during her own fertility journey, she realized the need for a more comprehensive and supportive approach to fertility treatments. With one round of egg freezing or IVF costing upwards of $25,000, Lushi offers a more affordable option that aims to minimize mistakes and optimize the process.

Lushi’s services include at-home injections by nurses, 24/7 AI support, on-call doctors, and personalized wellness plans. The platform streamlines the entire treatment process, providing a more convenient and holistic approach to fertility treatments.

To fund Lushi, Schaefer and her co-founder, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mana Baskovic, have raised over $5 million. They have also attracted investments from notable entrepreneurs and are in talks with potential partners to further enhance their services and lower costs for patients.

Looking ahead, Schaefer and Baskovic plan to expand Lushi into all areas of women’s health, including pre- and post-menopause care. They are also launching medical centers and event series in major cities like New York and Los Angeles to provide a more comprehensive approach to women’s healthcare.

With a focus on creating a unique and engaging brand, Schaefer has enlisted the help of talented artists and rolled out creative ad campaigns to raise awareness about fertility issues. As they continue to grow, Lushi aims to make fertility treatments more accessible and affordable for women across the country.

In addition, Schaefer is actively engaging with policymakers to advocate for better insurance coverage of IVF and egg freezing. She is hopeful that the new administration will support these initiatives and is even eyeing potential investments from influential figures like Elon Musk.

Overall, Lushi is poised to revolutionize the fertility industry by offering a more personalized, convenient, and affordable approach to women’s health and wellness. With a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, Lushi is set to make a significant impact in the field of fertility treatments.
