The official launch event is scheduled for December 28, 2024, at IDC School, Old Ife Road, New Gbagi, Ibadan, starting at 10 AM. Members of the public are encouraged to bring their plastic bottles to exchange for vouchers, food items, gifts, or cash rewards. The more kilograms of plastic attendees contribute, the greater the rewards they will receive from 1win.

Attendees can look forward to a day filled with entertainment and activities for all ages, including games, exclusive merchandise giveaways from 1win, and appearances by popular Nigerian personalities.

Social media influencers Moyin and Doyin Oladimeji (@Twinz_Love) and renowned Nigerian actor and producer Femi Adebayo will be present at the event to show their support for the campaign and encourage community involvement.

The PWE project focuses on addressing the plastic waste problem in Ibadan and its surroundings. Citizens are urged to recycle PET bottles by bringing them to designated 1win-branded PWE stations. With a target of collecting 5,000 kilograms of plastic waste, 1win and Recycledge aim to divert the materials to recycling facilities to prevent pollution of landfills, water bodies, and natural habitats in Nigeria.
