EV24.africa, the first pan-African electric vehicle (EV) marketplace, has quickly established itself as the go-to platform for electric mobility on the continent. Launched just three months ago, this platform is operated by AUTO24.africa and Africar Group, with the support of global automotive leader Stellantis. The goal of EV24.africa is to revolutionize the African automotive landscape by offering a clean, connected, and continent-wide electric vehicle solution.

Since its launch, EV24.africa has received over 350 qualified vehicle requests from more than 30 countries across Africa, with a strong presence in countries like South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The marketplace has successfully delivered vehicles to ten African countries, showcasing its reliable logistics and supply chain capabilities.

EV24.africa caters to a diverse range of clients, including individual drivers, ride-hailing professionals, corporates, NGOs, public institutions, and automotive distributors. In addition to vehicles, the platform also offers charging infrastructure, fleet tools, and after-sales support tailored for both urban and remote environments.

With a selection of over 200 electric vehicle models sourced from more than 50 global manufacturers, EV24.africa provides options for every type of customer. Popular models include compact electric cars like the BYD Dolphin, BYD Atto 3, Leapmotor T03, Wuling Bingo Plus, and Ora Good Cat, as well as higher-end options like the ROX T01, Xiaomi SU7, Tesla Model 3, and MG4. The demand is also growing for practical vehicles like the Hyundai Kona EV, Dongfeng Nammi 01, Geely Geometry C, and various electric pickups and commercial vans.

To support this growth, EV24.africa has developed a comprehensive approach that includes continent-wide logistics covering over 20 African ports, warranty coverage for batteries and motors, access to spare parts, solar-powered off-grid charging solutions for rural areas, and a fleet management platform developed in partnership with regional entities. This platform offers real-time monitoring, preventive maintenance, and smart recharge planning, particularly beneficial for taxis and ride-hailing fleets.

One of the key markets that EV24.africa is making an impact in is Rwanda. The electric vehicle market in Rwanda has seen rapid growth, with the government introducing incentives to promote electric vehicle adoption, such as tax exemptions. Rwanda has also mandated electric motorcycles for public transport, showcasing its commitment to sustainable transport. EV24.africa has imported popular models like the BYD Dolphin and Leapmotor T03 to cater to the growing demand in Rwanda.

As Rwanda aims to lead Africa’s green mobility revolution, EV24.africa is working closely with local authorities and partners to enhance the charging infrastructure and fleet management solutions in the country. The platform offers solar-powered charging stations and fleet management systems to ensure that even the most remote areas of Rwanda have access to clean energy solutions for electric vehicles.

Younes Rabeh, EV24.africa Business Manager, expressed, “In just three months, we’ve proven that the demand for electric mobility in Africa, and particularly in Rwanda, is not only real but accelerating. Our team is building more than a marketplace — we are laying the infrastructure and services to support Africa’s electric transition at scale.”

Axel Peyriere, CEO and Co-Founder of AUTO24.africa and Africar Group, added, “EV24.africa is a strategic move aligned with our mission to reshape mobility in Africa. Backed by Stellantis and built with a lean, digital-first approach, we are uniquely positioned to scale EV adoption across the continent and make sustainable transport a reality for all.”

EV24.africa has already made its presence felt at major industry events and will continue to do so in the future as it expands its reach across Africa. The platform aims to make electric vehicles accessible to a wider audience and ensure a seamless experience for buyers continent-wide.

The world is constantly changing, and with it, so are the ways we interact with each other and the environment around us. In recent years, there has been a growing trend towards sustainable living and eco-friendly practices. People are becoming more conscious of the impact their actions have on the planet and are looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint.

One of the ways this shift towards sustainability is manifesting is in the way we design and build our homes. Sustainable architecture is becoming increasingly popular, with architects and designers incorporating eco-friendly features into their projects. These features not only help reduce the environmental impact of the building but also create healthier living spaces for the occupants.

One of the key principles of sustainable architecture is energy efficiency. Buildings are responsible for a significant portion of the world’s energy consumption, so designing homes that are energy-efficient can have a big impact on reducing overall energy usage. This can be achieved through the use of sustainable materials, efficient insulation, and passive design strategies that take advantage of natural light and ventilation.

Another important aspect of sustainable architecture is the use of renewable energy sources. Solar panels, wind turbines, and geothermal heating systems are just a few examples of how buildings can generate their own energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. By harnessing renewable energy sources, buildings can not only reduce their carbon footprint but also save money on energy bills in the long run.

In addition to energy efficiency and renewable energy, sustainable architecture also focuses on using non-toxic and environmentally friendly materials. This includes materials that are sustainably sourced, such as bamboo and reclaimed wood, as well as materials that do not emit harmful chemicals or pollutants into the air. By using these materials, architects and designers can create homes that are not only good for the environment but also promote the health and well-being of the people who live in them.

Overall, sustainable architecture offers a holistic approach to building design that takes into account the environmental, economic, and social impacts of our built environment. By incorporating eco-friendly features into our homes, we can create spaces that are not only beautiful and functional but also sustainable and resilient for future generations to come. As the world continues to grapple with the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation, sustainable architecture offers a path towards a more sustainable and harmonious future.
