Mr. Mehari Tekeste, Eritrea’s Consul General, led the seminar by emphasizing the importance of strengthening organizational capacity and unity among Eritrean nationals. He also called for increased participation and contributions to national affairs, highlighting the significance of collective action in driving progress.
In the Northern US, Eritreans gathered for their annual congress in Seattle, where they discussed both the achievements and challenges facing the community. Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet, Chargé d’Affaires at the Eritrean Embassy, delivered a seminar titled “Work for Implementation of National Pledge,” urging nationals to actively support ongoing national development programs. This call to action aimed to mobilize Eritreans living abroad to contribute to the advancement of their country.
Additionally, a similar seminar was held for Eritrean nationals in Oregon, where Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet provided an update on developments in Eritrea within the broader regional and global contexts. During the seminar, participants also made financial contributions towards the construction of a school in Akordet, demonstrating their commitment to supporting education and community development initiatives in Eritrea.
