The 78th annual Easter sunrise service took place at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on April 20, 2025. This beloved event, sponsored by the Colorado Council of Churches, drew a large crowd of attendees who gathered to celebrate the Easter holiday as the sun rose over the stunning natural amphitheatre.

Members of the C2 Mass Choir provided musical accompaniment, filling the amphitheatre with joyful and inspiring songs. The atmosphere was one of reverence and joy as the choir’s voices echoed against the red rocks that surrounded the venue. The performance was a beautiful blend of faith, music, and community coming together to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.

The sermon for the service was delivered by Reverend Dr. Steven Van Ostran, who shared a message of hope, renewal, and the promise of new beginnings. His words resonated with the crowd, reminding them of the significance of Easter and the power of faith in times of uncertainty.

As the sun began to rise over the horizon, casting a warm glow over the amphitheatre, attendees were filled with a sense of peace and serenity. The natural beauty of the surroundings, combined with the spiritual significance of the occasion, created a truly magical and memorable experience for all who were present.

The event also featured live painting by renowned artist Scramble Campbell, adding an artistic element to the spiritual proceedings. His vibrant and colorful creations captured the essence of the Easter sunrise service, blending music, faith, and creativity into a unique and unforgettable experience.

Overall, the 78th annual Easter sunrise service at Red Rocks Amphitheatre was a time of reflection, celebration, and community coming together in unity. It was a reminder of the power of faith, the beauty of nature, and the importance of coming together to celebrate traditions that have been passed down through generations.
