At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of GITA, Danquah emerged victorious with 22 votes, surpassing his closest competitor who received 11 votes. The AGM, the first in over two decades, was graced by the presence of Emelia Arthur, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
In his address to the members of GITA, Danquah highlighted the importance of unity within the association to propel it to greater heights and contribute to the progress of the fishing industry.
