The Stormers, based in Cape Town, are facing a crucial match against Benetton in the United Rugby Championship. Currently sitting in eighth place on the log, they can’t afford any slip-ups as four teams are hot on their heels, vying for that final quarter-finals spot.

Coach John Dobson has selected his strongest side for the upcoming match at the Cape Town Stadium. With only three regular season matches left, the pressure is on for the Stormers to secure their position in the standings. Following the clash with Benetton, they will face Dragons and Cardiff, both at home.

Key changes have been made to the team for this important game. Leolin Zas returns to the wing, with Suleiman Hartzenberg providing cover from the bench. Herschel Jantjies and Connor Evans have also been included in the matchday squad, with Evans stepping in for the injured Deon Fourie.

Director of Rugby, John Dobson, emphasized the importance of continuity in selection for such a crucial match. He highlighted the need for improvement following their narrow victory over Connacht last week, acknowledging the challenge posed by a formidable Benetton side.

The Stormers lineup for the match includes Warrick Gelant, Seabelo Senatla, Dan du Plessis, Damian Willemse, Leolin Zas, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, Stefan Ungerer, Evan Roos, Marcel Theunissen, Paul de Villiers, Ruben van Heerden, Salmaan Moerat (capt), Sazi Sandi, André-Hugo Venter, and Ali Vermaak. The bench features JJ Kotze, Vernon Matongo, Brok Harris, JD Schickerling, Connor Evans, Louw Nel, Herschel Jantjies, and Suleiman Hartzenberg.

As the Stormers gear up for a crucial showdown against Benetton, they will be looking to build on their recent performances and secure a vital win to maintain their position in the standings. The pressure is on, but with a strong lineup and determined mindset, they will be aiming for a successful outcome in this crucial fixture.
