Diogo Dalot Remains Optimistic Despite Manchester United’s 13th League Defeat
Manchester United suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Tuesday, but Diogo Dalot remains hopeful about the team’s progress under Ruben Amorim.
Despite dominating possession, United struggled to break down the resilient Forest defense, ultimately conceding a brilliant solo goal to former academy graduate Anthony Elanga. This loss marked United’s 13th defeat of the season, leaving them in 13th place in the league standings with just eight games remaining.
Dalot, however, sees positive signs in the team’s performance and attitude. Speaking to MUTV, the Portuguese defender highlighted the team’s fighting spirit as a crucial factor in their quest for improvement.
“Our fighting spirit shows how much we want to change the situation and not be in the position we are in, especially in the Premier League,” Dalot stated.
He emphasized the importance of commitment and effort in order for United to compete for major titles in the future.
While acknowledging the challenges ahead, Dalot expressed confidence in the team’s trajectory towards success.
“We still have to suffer a little bit, but in terms of trying to get out of this situation and improving, I think we are on the right track,” he added.
Despite their recent struggles, United will face a tough test against Manchester City this weekend before heading to France for the Europa League quarter-final against Lyon.
