Generative AI adoption has seen a significant increase of 177% over the past two years, according to a report from Gartner. However, while the use of generative AI is on the rise, enterprise security investments focused on AI risks have only grown by 43%, creating a considerable gap in preparedness as AI attack surfaces rapidly expand.

Recent findings from the SANS Institute revealed that more than 70% of enterprises experienced at least one AI-related breach in the past year, with generative models being the primary target. State-sponsored attacks on AI infrastructure have also surged by 218% year-over-year, as highlighted in CrowdStrike’s 2025 Global Threat Report.

For CISOs and security leaders, the challenge lies in deploying new AI models at scale, which exponentially expands their enterprises’ attack surfaces. Traditional security tactics and technologies are struggling to keep pace with the evolving AI threats. Therefore, securing generative AI requires a fundamental architectural shift rather than relying on bolt-on tools.

CrowdStrike recently announced a strategic response to this challenge by embedding Falcon Cloud Security directly within NVIDIA’s universal LLM NIM. This integration aims to secure over 100,000 enterprise-scale LLM deployments across NVIDIA’s hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz emphasized the importance of intrinsic security, stating that security cannot be an afterthought but must be integrated at the core infrastructure level. The collaboration with NVIDIA enables CrowdStrike to leverage threat intelligence and real-world adversary behavior to build guardrails around emerging AI exploit tactics.

By embedding Falcon Cloud Security directly into NVIDIA’s LLM NIM microservices, CrowdStrike provides runtime protection within the AI pipeline itself. This approach allows for continuous scanning of containerized AI models prior to deployment, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, poisoned datasets, misconfigurations, and unauthorized shadow AI.

The integration of Falcon Cloud Security into NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure automates compliance with emerging regulations, such as the EU AI Act, ensuring comprehensive model safety, traceability, and auditability throughout the deployment process.

Overall, the collaboration between CrowdStrike and NVIDIA represents a significant step towards enhancing enterprise-grade generative AI security. The embedded security approach offers operational benefits such as intrinsic zero-trust at scale, proactive vulnerability mitigation, and continuous runtime intelligence, helping organizations stay ahead of evolving AI threats in a rapidly changing landscape.
