Kaizer Chiefs’ captain, Yusuf Maart, has found himself suspended for the upcoming Nedbank Cup last-16 match against Chippa United after receiving his fourth booking in their 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC last week Friday. Maart’s absence will surely be felt by the team as they look to progress further in the competition.

Joining Maart on the suspension list is Chippa United’s midfielder, Sirgio Kammies, who also received his fourth yellow card in their recent 1-0 defeat to TS Galaxy. Both teams will have to make do without these key players as they battle it out on the field.

In other matches, SuperSport United will be missing Siphesihle Ndlovu and Siyabonga Ndebele when they face Cape Town Spurs, while Cape Town Spurs will have to do without Asanele Velebayi and coach Ernst Middendorp. Stellenbosch FC will also be without Kyle Jurgens and Sihle Nduli in their match against Polokwane City.

Durban City will have to navigate their match against TS Galaxy without winger Samkelo Maseko, while AmaZulu will be without midfielder Ethan Brooks as they take on Marumo Gallants at the Dr Molemela Stadium.

The suspensions of these key players are sure to shake up the dynamics of the upcoming matches, as teams look to secure their spot in the next round of the Nedbank Cup. Fans will be eagerly watching to see how the absence of these players will impact the outcome of the games.
