Chargé d’Affaires Wang Sheng Meets with Hon. Mose Moyo, Second Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia

The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Zambia continues to strengthen diplomatic ties with Zambia through high-level interactions and capacity-building activities. Chargé d’Affaires Wang Sheng recently met with Hon. Mose Moyo, Second Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, along with members of the Zambia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group.

During the meeting, Mr. Wang highlighted the importance of the ongoing cooperation between the legislative bodies of China and Zambia. He commended the efforts made in promoting bilateral relations and expressed hope that the Zambian National Assembly would continue to support the one-China principle, further solidifying the friendship between the two nations.

Hon. Moyo, in turn, acknowledged the longstanding friendship between Zambia and China, emphasizing the historical significance of their relationship. He expressed gratitude for China’s continuous support in Zambia’s development endeavors, particularly in the revitalization of the TAZARA Railway, which is expected to bring about new opportunities for growth in Zambia. Hon. Moyo reiterated the National Assembly’s commitment to upholding the one-China principle and expressed eagerness to deepen legislative cooperation with China through various exchanges and learning from China’s development experiences.

The meeting between Chargé d’Affaires Wang Sheng and Hon. Mose Moyo signifies the mutual commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and promoting cooperation between China and Zambia. The continuous collaboration between the two nations’ legislative bodies is crucial in fostering sustainable development and enhancing mutual understanding.
