The highly anticipated conclusion of The Traitors season 3 has left fans in the UK on the edge of their seats, and now they have even more to look forward to with the announcement of a celebrity edition of the show currently in development.

Initially reported by Deadline in April 2024, the official announcement of the celebrity edition was made by the creators in August of the same year. The British version of The Traitors has been a massive success, earning numerous awards and breaking rating records. While the first three seasons featured regular civilians, the American version has already incorporated celebrities into the mix. Seasons 2 and 3 of the American version exclusively featured celebrities, paving the way for the British edition to follow suit.

The BBC has decided to take a page out of Peacock’s book in the US and introduce a celebrity version of The Traitors. Fans can expect to see some big names thrown into the mix for this exciting new installment of the show. The celebrity edition is set to consist of nine episodes, with filming expected to begin this year.

One key detail that fans will be pleased to hear is that the beloved host of The Traitors UK, Claudia Winkleman, will also be leading the celebrity version of the show. As for the contestants, casting is currently underway, and while there is no confirmed list of participants, several rumored celebrities include Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Jennifer Saunders, and more.

The format of the show will likely remain similar to the regular version, with celebrities competing for a cash prize in a castle in the Scottish Highlands. Hidden among them will be “Traitors” who will plot and “murder” other participants, challenging the “Faithful” to uncover their identities and vote them out of the game.

Fans in the UK can catch Celebrity Traitors on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, while those outside the UK can use a VPN to access the show. NordVPN is a recommended option for bypassing regional restrictions and accessing foreign websites.

With the excitement building for the celebrity edition of The Traitors, fans can look forward to more treachery, deception, and thrilling gameplay as their favorite celebrities take on the challenge in the Scottish Highlands.
