Carlo Ancelotti Defends His Team Selection Despite Vinicius Jr’s Injury
Following the recent injury to Vinicius Jr, there has been criticism directed towards Carlo Ancelotti for not rotating and resting key players in the squad. Some journalists and columnists have questioned his decision to field the Brazilian forward in a match against Leganés after his return from international duty.
Ancelotti, however, has vehemently defended his team selection in a press conference, dismissing the criticism as unwarranted.
“I listen to advice a lot, but I have managed 1,300 matches, I have made 1,300 line-ups and I have made almost 4,000 changes. No one can give me advice on that,” stated the Italian manager, clearly frustrated by the backlash.
