The Nedbank Cup quarterfinal clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Sekhukhune United at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday night promises to be a familiar encounter. In their recent meeting, the Brazilians emerged victorious with a 4-2 win over Babina Noko.

Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso downplayed the significance of the previous result, emphasizing that this new match in a different competition will require a different approach. He highlighted the need for a strong attitude and understanding of both teams’ strengths and weaknesses to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

On the other side, Sekhukhune coach Lehlohonolo Seema remained tight-lipped about the Sipho Mbule disciplinary issue but assured that his team is not going to adopt a defensive approach against Sundowns. He expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete and strive for victory.

As the two teams gear up for this crucial clash, the focus remains on tactical preparation and maintaining a competitive spirit. The outcome of this match will determine who progresses to the next stage of the Nedbank Cup, with both sides eager to secure a spot in the final and lift the trophy.

Overall, the stage is set for an intense battle between two Betway Premiership rivals, with both coaches determined to lead their teams to victory. The fans can expect an exciting and hard-fought encounter as Sundowns and Sekhukhune face off once again in pursuit of cup glory.
