Canon Central and North Africa (CCNA) recently hosted its Annual Kickoff event at the prestigious Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai on January 13, setting the stage for a promising start to 2025 following a successful year. This annual gathering serves as a pivotal moment for the entire company to come together, reflect on past achievements, and prepare for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

The event saw the presence of Canon EMEA’s President & CEO, Mr. Yuichi Ishizuka, highlighting Africa’s strategic importance as a key growth market for Canon. Joining him were other distinguished leaders including Mr. Peter Saak, Executive Vice President, Developing Region Business Group.

Building upon the ICE framework – “Innovation, Customer, and Employee Experience,” which enabled Canon to expand into new markets, strengthen customer relationships, and prioritize employee development, this year’s theme emphasizes the value employees bring to customers and partners through Canon’s products and technologies.

Africa stands at the forefront of global growth, offering a blend of opportunity and potential. With a GDP projected to surpass $3 trillion by 2025, driven by a young population, urbanization, and infrastructure investments, Canon recognizes the immense potential of the region and has strategically positioned itself to contribute to this growth.

Looking ahead to 2025, Canon aims to capitalize on Africa’s promising landscape by exploring new markets, innovating products, and engaging with emerging customer segments. By focusing on innovation, customer engagement, and employee empowerment, Canon aims to drive growth and make a meaningful impact across the region.

Somesh Adukia, Managing Director of Canon Central & North Africa, shared his vision for the year, emphasizing resilience, creativity, customer-centricity, and a proactive mindset as key values guiding Canon’s journey forward. The event not only served as a platform for strategic alignment but also included team-building activities, a gala dinner, and an awards ceremony honoring top-performing employees.
