The South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) has made a significant stride in its coaching development initiative. Recently, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially endorsed the SSFA’s syllabus for the CAF B License course, following the successful fulfillment of all eight criteria outlined in the CAF Coaching Convention.
This milestone now enables the SSFA to formally request to host the CAF B License course through the CAF Management System (CMS), as confirmed by Jaida Zakaria, the Coaching Education Project Manager at CAF’s Development Division. Zakaria emphasized, “You are now eligible to submit a request for a B License course via CMS, as indicated on the application form.”
CAF has outlined that upon approval of the application, a proficient CAF instructor will be designated to visit South Sudan for 4 to 5 days. During this visit, the instructor will evaluate the country’s preparedness to conduct the course in alignment with CAF standards.
The attainment of this approval showcases the SSFA’s unwavering dedication to technical excellence, football development, and the enhancement of local coaches’ capacities under the leadership of SSFA President Augustino Maduot Parek.
Following the successful introduction of the inaugural CAF C Diploma License course in 2023, President Parek’s commitment to empowering coaches and fortifying the football development structure in South Sudan continues to yield concrete outcomes.
The SSFA acknowledges the pivotal role played by the Administration and Technical Department in ensuring seamless coordination, compliance, and strategic support for the Technical Department’s endeavors. Their robust administrative support has been instrumental in reaching this pivotal juncture in coaching development.
This achievement not only underscores the SSFA’s dedication to fostering a culture of excellence in football coaching but also signifies a promising future for the growth and advancement of football in South Sudan.
