Botswana claim emphatic COSAFA win against Eswatini

Botswana Claims Victory Over Eswatini in a Thrilling Encounter

In a thrilling encounter, Botswana secured a dominant 3-1 victory over Eswatini. The match kicked off with an early lead for Botswana as Tumiso Tshotlego confidently converted a penalty after a foul in the box, putting his team ahead just 15 minutes into the game.

Botswana extended their lead in the second half when Molwantwa Ngube capitalized on acres of space to slot the ball past the goalkeeper, making it 2-0 in the 65th minute.

Eswatini fought back with Phiwayinkhosi Dube heading in a free-kick to narrow the gap and raise hopes of a comeback. However, Botswana quickly responded as Irvin Evans found the back of the net from close range, restoring their two-goal advantage.

With this victory, Botswana has positioned themselves well in the tournament, having already defeated Eswatini and showcasing their strength on the field. Malawi also secured a win against Zimbabwe, while Angola managed a narrow victory against Namibia, setting the stage for an exciting tournament.

As the competition heats up, all eyes are on the clash between hosts Namibia and Zimbabwe, who are both eager to secure their first points in the campaign. The match promises to be a fierce battle as both teams look to make their mark in the tournament.
