Black Eyed Peas singer apl.de.ap, who was performing at the festival, revealed that he had left the stage just minutes before the horrific incident took place.

Born in the Philippines as Allan Pineda Lindo, apl.de.ap expressed his sorrow and condolences to the victims in a statement on Sunday. He shared on Instagram that he had finished his performance and left the stage moments before the car crashed through the crowd. The shock and heaviness of the situation were palpable as he reflected on the tragedy.

apl.de.ap was headlining the Lapu Lapu Festival alongside singer J-Rey when the 30-year-old man drove his black SUV through the revelers.
