The Vancouver Filipino festival turned into a tragic event when a madman drove his car through a crowd, killing 11 people and injuring many more. Black Eyed Peas singer apl.de.ap, who was performing at the festival, revealed that he had left the stage just minutes before the horrific incident took place.

Born in the Philippines as Allan Pineda Lindo, apl.de.ap expressed his sorrow and condolences to the victims in a statement on Sunday. He shared on Instagram that he had finished his performance and left the stage moments before the car crashed through the crowd. The shock and heaviness of the situation were palpable as he reflected on the tragedy.

apl.de.ap was headlining the Lapu Lapu Festival alongside singer J-Rey when the 30-year-old man drove his black SUV through the revelers. The incident occurred as organizers were in the process of removing barricades to clean up after the event. The aftermath left dozens injured, with officials warning that the death toll could rise.

In his Instagram post, apl.de.ap provided victim services and mental health crisis lines for those affected by the tragedy. He called for support and love for the victims and their families, emphasizing the sense of community that has come together in the wake of the tragedy.

As the singer expressed his broken heart for the victims and their families, he acknowledged the outpouring of love and support from the audience and messages he received. The unity and compassion shown in response to the tragedy were a source of comfort amidst the devastation.
