The tension between the African National Congress (ANC) and the Democratic Alliance (DA) has caused cracks in the Government of National Unity (GNU). The ANC is facing a dilemma as it contemplates whether to expel its coalition partner, the DA.

The ANC has decided to buy itself some time to carefully consider its next move regarding the DA. The constant unrest and disagreements between the two parties have put a strain on their relationship within the government.

The Democratic Alliance, led by John Steenhuisen, has been vocal in its criticism of the ANC-led government, particularly in areas such as the budget, VAT, and government policies. This has put further pressure on the already fragile coalition.

Fikile Mbalula, a prominent ANC member, has expressed concerns about the ongoing disputes between the two parties. He believes that the disagreements could jeopardize the stability of the GNU and hinder the government’s ability to effectively govern the country.

The National Working Committee, led by Paul Mashatile, has been tasked with finding a resolution to the escalating tensions between the ANC and the DA. However, finding common ground and reaching a compromise has proven to be a challenge.

Mdumiseni Ntuli, another ANC member, has emphasized the importance of unity within the government. He has called for both parties to put aside their differences and work together for the greater good of the country.

Despite the challenges and disagreements, both the ANC and the DA are committed to finding a way to move forward and ensure the stability of the GNU. It remains to be seen whether the two parties can overcome their differences and continue to work together effectively in the government.
