Expressing her deep sorrow, the Blood & Water star revealed that she feels as though nothing is real in this moment, and that life will never be the same without him.

“I love you, Marcus, and I wish I could have told you that one last time. You were the most incredible father figure anyone could ask for,” she wrote.

Qamata fondly remembered her stepfather’s sarcastic humor, dry wit, and the meaningful conversations they shared. She expressed gratitude for the profound impact he had on her life.

“You loved us all unconditionally, and I am forever grateful to have had you in my life. Your presence has truly changed me,” she added.

In closing, the actress pledged to hold onto the love that her stepfather had bestowed upon them.

“You always cherished this song, and now I will cling to it as a reminder of you and the love you showered us with. Rest in eternal peace, Papa, until we meet again.”

Rising star

Ama Qamata rose to fame for her portrayal of Puleng Khumalo in the popular series Blood & Water. Her acting journey began in 2016 when she made her television debut at the age of 17, starring as Naledi in the sitcom My Perfect Family on SABC1.

Over the years, she has showcased her talent in various productions, including Gomora on Mzansi Magic, Rhythm City, and Commandos: The Mission. Most recently, she can be seen as Palesa in the Netflix series Marked.
