Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids remains optimistic despite a 2-0 loss to RS Berkane in the first leg of the 2024/2025 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup final. The Moroccan champions took an early lead with Mamadou Camara scoring off a corner from Hamza El Moussaoui, followed by Oussama Lamlaoui doubling the lead. Simba suffered a setback when Abdulrazack Hamza got injured before halftime, but the team continued to push forward with Leonel Ateba and Elie Mpanzu creating scoring opportunities.

Coach Fadlu Davids acknowledged the early goals put his team on the back foot but remains hopeful for the return leg scheduled for May 25th. He emphasized the importance of regrouping and planning better to turn the tables on RS Berkane. Despite the challenges faced in the first leg, Davids believes that Simba can deliver a better performance in the upcoming match.

Simba, who last reached the final of this competition in 1993, will be aiming to make history by overcoming RS Berkane in the return leg. The team is determined to give their all and secure a positive result in front of their home fans.

With the experience and resilience of the Simba SC squad, coupled with the strategic guidance of Coach Fadlu Davids, the Tanzanian side is gearing up for a fierce battle in the final showdown. Fans can expect an intense and thrilling encounter as Simba strives to make a comeback and clinch the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup title. Stay tuned for an exciting clash between Simba SC and RS Berkane as they vie for continental glory.
