Ethiopian Coffee SC Thrash Garde Cotes 6-0 in CECAFA Kagame Cup 2025

Ethiopian Coffee SC put on a dominant display as they cruised to a 6-0 victory over Garde Cotes in a Group A match at the CECAFA Kagame Cup 2025. The star of the show was striker Amanuel Admasu, who scored a hat-trick to lead his team to an emphatic win at the KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

After a goalless draw in their opening match against Singida Black Stars FC, Ethiopian Coffee SC came out firing on all cylinders against Garde Cotes. They took an early lead through Abubakar Adamu in the 12th minute, followed by a goal from Zelalem Abate just two minutes later.

Despite Garde Cotes’ defensive efforts, Ethiopian Coffee SC continued to press forward and extend their lead. Amanuel Admasu added a third goal in the 36th minute, putting his team in a commanding position going into halftime.

The second half saw Admasu pick up where he left off, scoring his second goal of the match early on. Abate also notched his second goal of the day in the 49th minute, further solidifying Ethiopian Coffee SC’s lead.

The Ethiopian side’s dominance was on full display as they maintained possession and created scoring opportunities. They were awarded a penalty in the 60th minute, which Admasu calmly converted to complete his hat-trick and seal the 6-0 victory for Ethiopian Coffee SC.

Looking ahead, Bumamuru FC from Burundi will take on KMC FC on Saturday, while Mlandege FC of Zanzibar will face off against Rwanda’s APR FC in the second Group B match.

Overall, it was a commanding performance from Ethiopian Coffee SC, with Amanuel Admasu stealing the show with his clinical finishing in front of goal. The team will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming matches as they aim to make a statement in the CECAFA Kagame Cup 2025.
