Real Madrid Extends La Liga Lead with Mbappe Hat-Trick
Real Madrid secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Valladolid, thanks to a clinical hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe. The win propelled Madrid four points clear at the top of La Liga, with their closest rivals Atletico Madrid held to a draw and Barcelona trailing by 10 points.
Mbappe, who has been in top form since his move from Paris Saint-Germain, notched his 15th league goal of the season, closing in on Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski.
Despite missing Vinicius Junior due to suspension, Madrid controlled the game from start to finish. Mbappe’s first goal came in the 30th minute with a stunning curling shot from outside the box, assisted by Jude Bellingham. He then added a second in the 57th minute with a composed finish past Valladolid’s goalkeeper Karl Hein.
The French forward completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot late in the game, after Mario Martin’s reckless challenge on Bellingham resulted in a red card for Valladolid.
