Dr. Akinwumi Adesina Announces $7.6 Billion Investment Interest for Nigeria at Africa Investment Forum 2024

Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, the president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), shared exciting news about Nigeria’s success at the Africa Investment Forum (AIF) 2024 held in Rabat, Morocco. Nigeria emerged as a key highlight of the event, with state governors showcasing investment-ready projects in various sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and technology. The AIF, launched in 2018, aims to attract investments for projects that will drive economic transformation across the continent.

During the Market Days event at AIF 2024, project sponsors and investors engaged with government leaders and policymakers, leading to a total of $29.2 billion in investment interest for Africa. Nigeria alone secured an impressive $7.6 billion, underscoring the country’s growing appeal to investors and its potential for sustainable growth.

Dr. Adesina’s announcement reinforces Nigeria’s position as a key player in Africa’s investment landscape and highlights the importance of strategic partnerships and collaboration to drive development and prosperity on the continent.
