Simba SC, one of the top teams in the Tanzania Premier League, secured their spot in the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup after a tough 1-1 draw against Bravos do Maquis at the 11 de Novembro Stadium in Talatona, Angola.

This result has propelled Simba to a total of 10 points, placing them in second position in Group A, just behind CS Constantine. CS Constantine claimed a 3-0 victory over CS Sfaxien in their match, taking the lead in the group with 12 points. Bravos do Maquis currently sit in third place with seven points, while Sfaxien remains at the bottom of the table without a single point.

Despite the possibility of Bravos reaching 10 points in their final match against Sfaxien, the draw against Simba has led to their elimination from the competition. It was a disappointing outcome for Bravos, who fought hard throughout the tournament.

Simba’s performance in the CAF Confederation Cup has been commendable so far, with the team showing resilience and determination in their matches. Their journey to the quarterfinals has been marked by some impressive displays on the field.

Looking ahead, Simba will be looking to continue their strong form in the competition and push for a spot in the semifinals. With the support of their fans and the determination of their players, they have a good chance of making a deep run in the tournament.

Overall, Simba SC’s performance in the CAF Confederation Cup has been a source of pride for Tanzanian football fans. The team’s success in reaching the quarterfinals is a testament to their hard work and skill on the field. As they prepare for the next stage of the competition, all eyes will be on Simba as they aim to make a mark on the continental stage.
