President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi Discusses Economic Development with Key Officials

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting today with Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Mr. Hassan Abdalla; and Minister of Finance, Mr. Ahmed Kouchouk.

According to the Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the discussions during the meeting revolved around the current local and global economic situation and its impact on macroeconomic indicators. The focus was on ensuring that the economic development program remains on track despite the challenging regional and international conditions, and exploring strategies to capitalize on available economic opportunities.

The President was briefed on key indicators related to the banking sector, monetary policy, and exchange rates. He was also updated on the government’s efforts to bolster the country’s foreign exchange reserves to support production and industries in priority sectors, ultimately contributing to comprehensive economic growth in Egypt.

President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance with regards to fiscal and monetary policies. The aim is to strengthen economic stability, mitigate inflationary pressures, and facilitate increased opportunities and financing for the private sector. This collaborative approach is intended to stimulate economic growth, attract more investment, and empower the private sector to play a more significant role in driving economic activity.
