The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its support for the diplomatic efforts of Turkey in resolving the crisis in Sudan. The UAE views Turkey’s commitment to regional peace and stability as commendable and is willing to collaborate with Turkish initiatives to bring an end to the conflict in Sudan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reiterated the UAE’s focus on achieving an immediate ceasefire and halting hostilities between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces. The UAE is also committed to providing humanitarian aid to the Sudanese people who are affected by the crisis.

The UAE is actively working with regional partners and the international community to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Sudan. The country emphasizes the importance of all parties involved in the conflict honoring their commitments under the Jeddah Declaration and the ALPS Group’s proposed mechanisms.

The absence of the Sudanese Armed Forces from recent peace talks in Geneva is seen as a hindrance to finding a lasting solution to the crisis. The UAE urges all parties to engage in dialogue and negotiations to pave the way for a civilian-led government and national consensus in Sudan.

The UAE continues to advocate for a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Sudan and calls on all concerned parties to return to the negotiating table. The country believes that dialogue is essential in achieving lasting peace and stability in Sudan.
