President John Dramani Mahama has shown his appreciation for the environmental advocacy group BuzzStop Boys during the relaunch of National Sanitation Day (NSD) in Accra on Saturday, September 6, 2025. In a show of support, President Mahama donated crucial sanitation equipment to aid in their efforts, including 200 wheelbarrows, 300 shovels, 300 brooms, 300 pairs of hand gloves, and a supply of standing brushes.

Taking to his official Facebook page, the president emphasized the significance of the group’s work and encouraged all Ghanaians to follow their lead in maintaining environmental cleanliness. He highlighted that sanitation should not be a sporadic activity but rather a national culture that is embraced daily.

The National Sanitation Day serves as a reminder for every citizen to take responsibility for their surroundings and strive for a cleaner environment. President Mahama urged the nation to capitalize on this momentum and actively participate in preserving clean communities.

The BuzzStop Boys have been at the forefront of volunteer-led cleanup initiatives in Accra and beyond, promoting healthy living and a greener environment through community-driven actions. They have taken to social media to express their gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for his recognition and generous support towards the national sanitation cause.

In a tweet, the group thanked the president for his contribution and reaffirmed their dedication to ensuring Ghana remains clean. Their commitment to fostering a cleaner environment is commendable and serves as an inspiration for all citizens to take action in maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment.
