Hon. Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu represents the Madina Constituency in the Greater Accra Region as a Member of Parliament for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Born on February 12th, 1979, in Denu, he is currently serving his second term in Ghana’s Parliament, having been a member of the 8th Parliament.
An esteemed human rights lawyer and scholar, Sosu is the Managing Partner at F-X Law and Associates and has worked as Legal Counsel at Logan & Associates. His academic background is as impressive as his professional career. He holds a PhD in Law (expected 2025) from the University of Ghana, an MA in Economic Policy Management (2020), an LLM in Oil and Gas Law (2014), and an LLB (2008) — all from the University of Ghana. He was admitted to the Ghana Bar in 2010 after completing his legal training at the Ghana School of Law.
His educational journey began with a BA in Sociology with Archaeology (2005), and he attended St. John’s Grammar, St. John’s JHS, and Accra New Town 8 & 6 Primary for his early studies.
Within Parliament, Hon. Sosu plays a crucial role in legal and constitutional review processes. He holds the position of Ranking Member on the Subsidiary Legislation Committee and is also a member of the Constitutional and Legal Affairs, Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and Special Committee on Winnowing.
