Eng. Moses Hassim Magogo Re-elected as President of FUFA
Eng. Moses Hassim Magogo has once again been re-elected as the President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA). This marks his continued leadership in the football governing body, a position he has held since taking over from Lawrence Mulindwa in 2013.
The re-election took place on July 5th during the Ordinary General Assembly held at the Hoima Resort Hotel in Hioma City. Magogo was returned unopposed, showcasing the trust and confidence delegates have in his leadership.
In his acceptance speech, Magogo expressed his gratitude to the General Assembly delegates for entrusting him and his colleagues on the Executive Committee to lead the game of football for another four-year term. He emphasized their passion and commitment to bringing new energy and ideas to the sport.
Joining Magogo on the Executive Committee are Justus Mugisha and Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi, who retained their positions as first and third Vice Presidents respectively. Dr. Twaibu Azar was appointed as the new second Vice President, stepping in to fill the void left by the late Darius Mugoye.
Davis Ndayisenga, the FIFA Lead at the regional office in Kigali, commended FUFA for organizing a successful General Assembly and extended best wishes to Magogo and his team for the upcoming term. The focus remains on unlocking the full potential of Ugandan football and building a brighter future for the sport and the nation as a whole.
Magogo, who also serves as a Member of Parliament for Budiope East, expressed confidence in the collective efforts of the Executive Committee to drive positive change and growth in Ugandan football.
Other members of the Executive Committee include Rogers Mulindwa, Ronnie Kalema, Rasoul Ariga, Issa Magoola, Agnes Mugena, Rogers Byamukama, Apollo Ahimbisibwe, Dan Obote, Frank Ankuzire, Deo Mutabazi, Ronald Barente, and Abdul Ssekabira Lukooya.
