KCCA FC Signs Striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe

KCCA FC has made a significant move in the summer transfer window by securing the services of talented striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe, also known as “The Hunter,” on a two-year deal. The highly-rated forward, who joins from URA FC, is set to enhance the Kasasiro Boys’ attacking options as they look to challenge for top honors in the upcoming seasons.

The signing of Ahimbisibwe represents a statement of intent from the 13-time league champions, as they aim to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level. The club expressed their excitement at securing their first major signing of the transfer window, with Ahimbisibwe also eager to make an impact at his new club.

Following a standout season in the 2024/2025 StarTimes Uganda Premier League, where he scored 16 goals for URA FC, Ahimbisibwe arrives at Lugogo with a reputation as a prolific goal-scorer. His impressive performances last season saw him finish just three goals behind the Golden Boot winner, highlighting his quality in front of goal.

The move to KCCA FC also sees Ahimbisibwe reunite with co-head coach Brian Ssenyondo, with whom he has previously worked at Synergy FC and UPDF FC. The familiarity between player and coach is expected to facilitate a smooth transition for the striker, enabling him to quickly adapt to the team’s style of play.

Ahimbisibwe’s career trajectory has seen him progress through the ranks of Ugandan football, starting at Synergy FC where he established himself as the club’s all-time leading scorer. His subsequent move to Nyamityobora FC saw him continue his goal-scoring exploits, further enhancing his reputation as a top striker in the league.
