Ace Ghanaian gospel artiste, Jack Alolome, has recently made headlines after revealing the personal experience that led him to switch political allegiance from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC). In an exclusive interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, Alolome shared a touching story about how a disappointing encounter with the NPP caused him to reconsider his loyalty.

The talented singer, who was raised in a household of staunch NPP supporters, recounted a particular incident that left a lasting impact on him. Alolome disclosed that he once abandoned his own scheduled performance in Breman Asikuma to support an NPP programme at the Kumasi Sports Stadium. This decision came after a request from NPP figure, Sam Pyne.

According to Alolome, Sam Pyne asked him to perform at the NPP event in Kumasi, prompting him to cancel his own show in Breman Asikuma. Despite the inconvenience, Alolome agreed and gave a stellar performance at the Kumasi Sports Stadium. However, the aftermath of the event left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Reflecting on the incident, Alolome expressed his disappointment with the NPP and their lack of appreciation for his sacrifice. He felt used and unvalued, leading him to reassess his political affiliations. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of his transition towards supporting the NDC, a decision that he stands by to this day.

In light of his revelation, Alolome’s fans have shown support for his courage in speaking out about his political journey. Many have commended him for staying true to his values and principles, even in the face of adversity. As Alolome continues to make waves in the gospel music scene, his personal story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the midst of political pressures.
