Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, along with his teammates Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo Am, recently took a break from the rugby field to enjoy a classic South African meal of chicken feet and dombolo. The trio headed to Fresh Food with Thuladu, a popular eatery in Durban known for serving up traditional South African dishes.

The setting was relaxed as the men indulged in a hearty meal, sharing stories, laughter, and some rugby banter. Siya, known for his strong connection to his Xhosa heritage, posted a picture of the meal with their Xhosa clan names, highlighting the bond between the Xhosa men and celebrating their ancestry.

While Siya may be the captain, his teammates Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo Am are no strangers to the spotlight. Mapimpi, often seen as the quiet and fashionable player, joined Siya and Lukhanyo in enjoying the meal. The trio looked content over plates filled with chicken feet, dombolo, and other offal delicacies, savoring the rare opportunity for a bit of fun and camaraderie.

In South Africa, meals like offal have long been associated with tradition and brotherhood, where men share hearty meals over good conversation, bonding, and celebrating life. The meal shared by Kolisi, Mapimpi, and Am was a reflection of their heritage and the unity they feel as teammates.

Siya’s Instagram post showcasing the meal received playful jabs and cheers from fellow celebrities and teammates, adding to the fun atmosphere of the boys’ day out. The comments were full of love, proving that the trio picked the right dish for their enjoyable outing.
