The anticipation for the iPhone 17 series is at an all-time high, with rumours swirling around the upcoming lineup of Apple’s flagship smartphones. As we eagerly await the official announcement from Apple, let’s delve into what we know so far about the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series.

Expected to be unveiled on 9 September 2025, the iPhone 17 lineup is set to feature four models, including the introduction of the new iPhone 17 Air, which is rumored to replace the less popular Plus model. Pre-orders are likely to open the following Friday after the announcement, with devices expected to be shipped a week later.

In terms of pricing, the iPhone 17 series is speculated to see an increase compared to the previous year, with the new Air model priced at £899/$899 for the 6.65-inch variant. The standard iPhone 17 is expected to start at £799/$799, while the Pro and Pro Max models are rumored to be priced at £1,099/$1,099 and £1,199/$1,199, respectively.

When it comes to specifications and features, all models in the iPhone 17 lineup are expected to feature LTPO displays, with the standard models sticking with 8GB of RAM. The selfie cameras are likely to receive an upgrade to 24MP from the current 12MP, while the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be incredibly thin, measuring less than 5.6mm in thickness.

The design of the iPhone 17 series is expected to see significant changes, with leaked images of dummy models revealing details about the camera modules and lens placement. The lineup is rumored to feature a new glass back panel design, with a Dynamic Island cutout that remains largely unchanged in size from the previous models. Additionally, Apple might introduce a new green color option for the Pro models, adding a splash of color to the lineup.

In terms of performance, the iPhone 17 series is likely to be powered by Apple’s A19 chip, with the Pro Max variant featuring 12GB of RAM. The lineup is expected to adopt vapour chamber cooling for efficient heat dissipation, ensuring optimal performance under heavy usage.

Camera enthusiasts can look forward to significant upgrades in the camera department, with all models featuring a 24MP front-facing camera and the Pro Max model boasting three 48MP rear cameras. The battery and charging technology are also set to receive improvements, with Apple introducing electrically-induced battery removal technology for easier maintenance and replacement.

The iPhone 17 series is expected to launch with iOS 19, packed with new features and improvements. AI integration and software enhancements are anticipated to enhance the user experience, making the iPhone 17 series a standout in the smartphone market.

As we eagerly await the official unveiling of the iPhone 17 series, these rumors paint an exciting picture of what Apple has in store for its flagship smartphones. Stay tuned for more updates and be prepared to experience the next level of innovation with the iPhone 17 series.
