Defender Tyrone Mings Extends Contract with Aston Villa Until 2027
Aston Villa’s defender, Tyrone Mings, has committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension that will keep him at Villa Park until 2027.
The 32-year-old, who had only one year left on his previous deal, has now secured an additional eight years at the club. Mings has been a key figure in Aston Villa’s defense, known for his solid performances and leadership on the field.
Despite facing a setback with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in the 2023-24 season, Mings bounced back and made 14 appearances for the team under the management of Unai Emery in the Premier League.
Since joining Aston Villa on a permanent basis from Bournemouth in 2019, Mings has been a stalwart in the team, making a total of 180 appearances in the claret and blue jersey.
Expressing his commitment to the club, Mings stated, “Every player signs for a club hoping they can contribute positively towards something successful and my belief that we can achieve something extra special is stronger than ever.”
