Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman is experiencing another key departure in his office, as his chief of staff Krysta Sinclair Juris is leaving her post. This news comes amidst a string of turnovers within the congressional office, raising questions about the Democrat’s health and evolving political image.

According to a report by Axios, Juris is planning to part ways with Fetterman’s office, marking a significant transition for the senator’s team. In response to this change, Cabelle St. John, who previously held roles as Fetterman’s deputy chief of staff, senior adviser, and scheduling director, is stepping in as the new chief of staff.

Fetterman expressed confidence in St. John’s abilities, stating, “Cabelle St. John has been a trusted advisor since day 1 in the office. I’m lucky to have her taking over as my Chief of Staff and I’m confident she’ll do a great job.” He also expressed gratitude for Juris’ contributions, acknowledging her as a valuable member of the team for over two years.

This recent departure adds to a series of exits from Fetterman’s office over the past year and a half, including his former chief of staff, top communications aides, and legislative director. Two more aides have left in recent months, contributing to a notable turnover rate within the senator’s team.

During a debate with Sen. Dave McCormick, Fetterman addressed criticisms about missing votes and committee hearings, dismissing them as a “weird smear.” He also pushed back against a New York magazine article that raised concerns about his health, labeling it as a “one-source hit piece.” Fetterman emphasized his commitment to his job, stating, “I’m here. I’m doing that job.”

In addition to concerns about his health, some former staffers have expressed frustration with Fetterman’s unwavering support for Israel and his recent meeting with former President Donald Trump. These actions have sparked internal disagreements within the office, adding to the challenges faced by Fetterman as he navigates his political career.
