West Ham United and Ghana sensation Mohammed Kudus has opened up about his unwavering determination to succeed, revealing that he continues to set new goals despite already achieving significant milestones in his career.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder, who hails from the streets of Nima in Accra and has risen to stardom in the Premier League, spoke candidly about his ambitions while also acknowledging the sacrifices made by his family to support his journey.

“It means a lot, but I don’t think they [my family] are too surprised because they put in the effort for me and pushed me to get to this point. All credit to them,” Kudus said.

Despite his success thus far, Kudus emphasized that this is just the beginning for him. “I still have a lot of goals and things I want to achieve. I’ve reached some goals, but I set new ones and will keep aiming high until whenever I hang up my boots,” he added.

Kudus has been making waves with his impressive performances since joining West Ham from Ajax in 2023, solidifying his reputation as one of Africa’s most promising talents. Although he hasn’t been in peak form consistently this season, his technical skills and creativity have made him a crucial player for manager David Moyes.

His rise to prominence has not gone unnoticed, with several top clubs in Europe reportedly keeping tabs on him. Premier League giants Liverpool have been particularly linked with a potential move for the versatile attacker, who can play in various positions across the frontline and midfield.

Kudus’ journey from the prestigious Right to Dream Academy in Ghana to becoming a standout performer in one of Europe’s top leagues serves as an inspiration for aspiring young African footballers. Despite his rapid ascent, the humble star believes that his story is far from complete, as he continues to pursue new objectives in his blossoming career.

As the 2024/25 season looms, Kudus will be eager to build on his debut campaign in the Premier League, where he notched 8 goals and 6 assists in all competitions. With his ambition and dedication, it’s evident that this is just the beginning for Kudus, and greater achievements are on the horizon.
