“But I think there’s a line between using it as a tool for information and using it to write job applications for you. That’s where it gets a bit risky.”

“You want to make sure that what you’re saying in your application is true to you and your skills, not just what a computer has generated for you.”

As AI continues to advance and become more integrated into various aspects of our lives, it is crucial for both job applicants and employers to understand the potential risks and benefits of using this technology in the recruitment process.

While AI can certainly streamline certain aspects of job applications, it should never replace the authenticity and unique qualities that make each candidate stand out. Human judgement and critical thinking are essential in evaluating candidates and ensuring that the right person is hired for the job.

As technology evolves, it is important for individuals to strike a balance between utilizing AI as a helpful tool and maintaining their own individuality and credibility in the job market.

. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has become an integral part of our lives, with experts like Timothy Mitchell emphasizing its significance. Mitchell, a computer security student at Cardiff Metropolitan University, believes that AI is not just a passing trend but a technology that is “here to stay” and will only continue to improve over time.

In Mitchell’s view, those who do not embrace AI are “cheating themselves” as it has become a ubiquitous tool used by tutors, employers, and individuals across various fields. While acknowledging the concerns and fears surrounding the widespread adoption of AI, Mitchell remains optimistic about its potential benefits.

He highlights that humans excel in creativity and innovation, areas where AI falls short as it can only operate based on the data it has been trained on. Mitchell sees generative AI as a tool that can complement human abilities rather than replace them, emphasizing its potential to enhance our capabilities.

As AI continues to advance, Mitchell envisions a future where this technology works alongside humans to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive innovation. He believes that embracing AI in a way that leverages its strengths while preserving human creativity is key to unlocking its full potential.

In conclusion, Mitchell’s perspective sheds light on the transformative power of AI and its ability to augment human intelligence rather than supplant it. As we navigate the evolving landscape of technology, embracing AI in a way that aligns with our values and goals can lead to a future where man and machine collaborate harmoniously for the betterment of society.
