Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, put on a dominant display as they secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Madagascar in their quest for automatic qualification for the 2026 World Cup. The match saw Jordan Ayew shine with a hat-trick of assists, Thomas Partey scoring two headers, and Mohammed Kudus finally finding the back of the net.

From the onset, the Black Stars showed their attacking intent, with Kudus almost breaking through Madagascar’s defense early on, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside. The game quickly turned physical, with both teams earning offensive free kicks within the first five minutes.

Ghana came close to opening the scoring through Mohammed Salisu, but his touch on Ayew’s free kick narrowly missed the target. The game’s intensity increased as Salisu was forced to commit a foul, escaping a booking despite Madagascar’s protests.

In the 10th minute, Partey connected with Ayew’s free kick to give Ghana the lead with a well-placed header. Kudus had a chance to double the lead, but his shot was saved by the Madagascar goalkeeper. The match continued to be evenly contested, with both teams creating chances.

As the first half drew to a close, Kudus’ penalty appeal was waved away by the referee. Despite some shaky moments after taking the lead, Ghana held on to their advantage going into halftime.

In the second half, the Black Stars picked up where they left off, with Partey scoring his second goal from another Ayew set piece. Kudus then added a third goal with a clinical finish, sealing the victory for Ghana.

Madagascar tried to mount a comeback, but Ghana’s defense held firm, with goalkeeper Benjamin Asare making crucial saves. Despite a spirited effort from Madagascar, they were unable to find a consolation goal in the closing stages.

Overall, Ghana’s performance showcased their attacking prowess and solid defensive display, putting them in a strong position to qualify for the World Cup. With key players stepping up and delivering, the Black Stars look poised for success in their upcoming matches.
