Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a stern warning to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) on Sunday, cautioning her to “tread very carefully” following her recent remarks in support of taking down Elon Musk. Bondi emphasized that as an elected public official, Crockett needs to be cautious with her statements, as Musk will not be affected by any attempts to bring him down.

Crockett had spoken at a virtual rally for The Tesla Takedown movement, a coalition that opposes Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency’s efforts to streamline the federal bureaucracy through boycotts and demonstrations at Tesla properties. The group is organizing 500 demonstrations at Tesla locations nationwide on March 29.

During her speech at the rally, Crockett expressed her desire to see Musk taken down on her birthday, stating that she believes the language understood by those in power is money. She clarified that her calls for action were nonviolent.

Protests and acts of vandalism have targeted U.S. Tesla locations in response to Musk’s ties to the Trump administration. Bondi recently announced that the Department of Justice is pressing charges against three individuals for allegedly vandalizing Tesla cars and properties, labeling their actions as “domestic terrorism.”

Prior to addressing Crockett’s remarks, Bondi reaffirmed her commitment to cracking down on the protests. She asserted that the charges against the accused individuals will not be dropped and that all avenues will be explored, particularly if there is evidence of a coordinated effort.

The situation underscores the growing tension surrounding Musk and his involvement in government affairs, as well as the escalating pushback from activists and lawmakers. Bondi’s warning serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of incendiary rhetoric and actions in the current political climate.
