The opening half of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier clash between Central African Republic (CAR) and Madagascar was nothing short of electrifying, with early goals setting the tone for a thrilling encounter.

CAR wasted no time in asserting their dominance, as they seized the initiative and broke the deadlock in the 9th minute. Gambor was the hero for the hosts, latching onto a pinpoint pass from Oualengbe to slot the ball into the back of the net, sending the home crowd into raptures as CAR surged ahead 1-0.

However, Madagascar showcased their resilience and attacking prowess, mounting a remarkable comeback with two quick goals in a span of just five minutes. Caddy was the architect of their resurgence, setting up Raveloson for the equalizer in the 17th minute before turning provider once again as Raveloson completed his brace in the 21st minute. With those rapid-fire strikes, Madagascar turned the tables and headed into halftime with a 2-1 advantage.

Despite CAR’s valiant efforts to claw their way back into the contest, Madagascar’s clinical finishing and resolute defending ensured they maintained their lead heading into the interval. With both teams eyeing World Cup qualification, the second half promised to be a fiercely contested battle, with CAR looking to mount a comeback while Madagascar aimed to hold onto their precious lead and inch closer to securing a spot in the prestigious tournament.

As the tension mounted and the stakes grew higher, the stage was set for a gripping second half that would ultimately determine which team would emerge victorious and move one step closer to realizing their World Cup dreams. Stay tuned for more thrilling action as the drama unfolds on the pitch.
