The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, recently revealed his willingness to accept a Deputy Ministerial position if offered by President John Mahama. In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Mr. Adongo shared his expectations for a ministerial appointment in the new government.

Expressing his thoughts, Mr. Adongo stated, “I was really expecting to be made a minister. However, the advisors of the President believed I was better suited for a higher position than Deputy Minister. Nevertheless, I would have gladly accepted the role if President John Mahama had proposed it to me.”

His remarks highlight his willingness to serve in any capacity deemed fit by the President, despite his initial hopes for a ministerial post.

Mr. Adongo’s comments have ignited discussions on the selection process for government appointments and the influence of presidential advisors in shaping leadership decisions.

Although he did not secure a ministerial role, the Bolgatanga Central MP reiterated his dedication to supporting President Mahama’s administration. He emphasized his readiness to contribute to national development and assist in achieving the government’s policy objectives for the betterment of Ghanaians.
