President Trump Criticizes Left-Wing Politicians for Neglecting Border Security

During a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference near Washington, D.C., President Donald Trump condemned the practice of sending American military forces overseas while neglecting to protect the southern border.

Describing illegal immigration as an “invasion,” Trump highlighted his administration’s efforts to address the issue. He emphasized the deployment of active-duty troops to defend the border and deter unauthorized entry into the country.

Trump boasted about the success of his deportation initiatives, surpassing previous records within the first weeks of his second term. He credited his administration for ending practices like “catch and release,” reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy, and abolishing birthright citizenship.

One of the key policies Trump mentioned was the significant increase in deportation operations, drawing parallels to President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s approach to border security. He expressed a commitment to safeguarding American communities from criminal elements and preventing the influx of individuals with problematic backgrounds.

Furthermore, Trump highlighted the cooperation of foreign countries in accepting their nationals who had entered the United States unlawfully. He specifically mentioned successful negotiations with countries like Venezuela and Colombia, which had initially resisted repatriating their citizens.

Addressing the issue of criminal organizations infiltrating the U.S., Trump commended the designation of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua as a terrorist group. He underscored the importance of protecting American citizens from external threats posed by such criminal entities.

The president’s speech resonated with conservative audiences, emphasizing the need for strong border enforcement and the prioritization of national security interests.
