President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt recently held a meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Ayman Ashour. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss national projects being carried out by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with a focus on the establishment of national universities, digital transformation, and service automation.

During the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research provided an update on the latest developments in the implementation of presidential initiatives related to higher education and scientific research. President El-Sisi stressed the importance of translating scientific research findings into practical products and services that can contribute to the country’s economy. He also emphasized the need to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, while ensuring that scientific research aligns with national development plans and societal needs.

Furthermore, President El-Sisi instructed the authorities to prioritize aligning educational curricula with the demands of the job market and to continue training and developing human resources to address the shortage of skilled professionals and prevent brain drain.

The President was also briefed on the efforts of university hospitals in providing medical assistance to the wounded and injured individuals from the Gaza Strip. He directed the authorities to continue offering medical and treatment services at university hospitals and to ensure the availability of essential medications for the people of Gaza.

The meeting highlights the Egyptian government’s commitment to promoting higher education, scientific research, and innovation as key drivers of economic development and societal progress. By investing in these areas and ensuring that they are closely aligned with the country’s needs, Egypt aims to build a knowledge-based economy and create opportunities for its citizens to thrive.
