World Heavyweight Champion Usyk Plans Two More Fights Before Retirement

Ukrainian boxing sensation Oleksandr Usyk made a monumental announcement on Wednesday, revealing his intention to have two more fights before hanging up his gloves for good.

The 38-year-old undefeated champion also disclosed that one of these bouts will be against the winner of the upcoming Daniel Dubois versus Joseph Parker showdown scheduled for later this month.

Usyk made headlines last May when he defeated British boxer Tyson Fury, claiming all four major heavyweight titles and solidifying his status as the first undisputed champion in the division in nearly a quarter of a century.

Although he relinquished the IBF belt, Usyk retained the unified WBC, WBA, and WBO championships following his triumphant rematch with Fury.

Speaking about his future plans, Usyk stated, “I feel great myself. I feel I have two fights to prepare for, not more. Just two.”

Meanwhile, English boxer Daniel Dubois, the current IBF champion, is seeking redemption after his defeat to Usyk in 2023. He is determined to emerge victorious against Joseph Parker of New Zealand in their upcoming clash in Riyadh on February 22.
