The Kingdom of Morocco Receives Support from Iraq for Territorial Integrity
The Republic of Iraq has reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Kingdom of Morocco’s territorial integrity. This declaration was made by Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein during a press briefing held in Rabat, following his discussions with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita. The joint communiqué issued by both parties highlighted Iraq’s steadfast stance in favor of Morocco.
Minister Fuad Hussein praised Morocco’s efforts to seek a realistic political solution to the ongoing dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, in line with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. He commended Morocco’s commitment to finding a consensus-based resolution that aligns with international norms and standards.
The international community has shown increasing support for Morocco’s autonomy plan as a viable path towards resolving the longstanding issue of the Moroccan Sahara. The diplomatic efforts of the Kingdom have garnered widespread recognition and appreciation from countries across the globe.
