Umar Lutalo Signs Deal with KCCA FC Until 2024–25 Season

Umar Lutalo has officially signed a contract with Ugandan Premier League (UPL) side KCCA FC that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2024–25 season. The deal also includes an option for further extension beyond the current season. Lutalo, who previously played for Kitara FC in the first round of the 2024/25 season, brings a wealth of experience and talent to KCCA FC.

Primarily operating as an attacking midfielder, Lutalo is known for his ability to make dynamic runs down the left wing and possesses a powerful shot from long distances. Prior to joining KCCA FC, he had a successful stint at SC Villa, where he spent three seasons and helped the team secure the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League title.

In addition to his role as an attacking midfielder, Lutalo is a versatile player who can also play as a left-winger and a left-back. His versatility and skill were recognized on the international stage as he represented the Uganda U20 side (Hippos) at the AFCON U20 in Egypt 2023. Furthermore, Lutalo was recently called up to the Uganda Cranes squad for the ongoing 2026 World Cup qualifier matches against Somalia, Guinea, and Botswana.

At KCCA FC, Lutalo will face stiff competition for a spot in the starting lineup, with players like Bright Anukani, Sharifu Ssengendo, Saidi Mayanja, Ashraf Mugume, and Steven Munguchi vying for the attacking midfield position. His presence is expected to add depth and quality to the team’s midfield options.

Overall, Umar Lutalo’s arrival at KCCA FC signifies a significant addition to the squad and highlights the club’s ambition to strengthen its roster for the upcoming seasons. With his skills, experience, and versatility, Lutalo is poised to make a positive impact and contribute to the success of KCCA FC in the Ugandan Premier League.
