Lobbying firms with close ties to President Donald Trump have seen a significant increase in new clients since the election, as companies and organizations seek to establish connections with the new administration. One of the biggest winners in this surge of business is Ballard Partners, led by fundraiser Brian Ballard. The firm, which boasts key members of Trump’s administration among its alumni, has added an impressive 41 new clients since the election, including big names like Paramount Studios, Bayer, and Harvard University.

In the final quarter of 2024, Ballard Partners reported a 31 percent increase in lobbying revenues compared to the previous quarter, with a total annual revenue growth of 11 percent. Another firm that has benefited from Trump’s win is Miller Strategies, led by Jeff Miller, who served as one of the finance chairs for Trump’s inauguration. Miller Strategies has signed 21 new clients since the election, including Uber and Ebay, resulting in a 37 percent increase in revenue in the final quarter of 2024.

Mercury Public Affairs, where key Trump adviser Bryan Lanza is working, has disclosed 16 new lobbying clients since the election. The firm reported a significant increase in lobbying revenue last year, with a 26 percent growth in the fourth quarter compared to the same period in 2023. Continental Strategy, launched by Trump adviser Carlos Trujillo, has also seen a boom in new clients, with a 35 percent increase in lobbying revenue for 2024.

CGCN Group, an all-Republican firm with former Trump White House aides on its staff, saw a 28 percent increase in lobbying revenue in 2024. However, a handful of firms linked to former President Joe Biden have experienced a decline in business since the election. Ricchetti Inc., run by Jeff Ricchetti, the brother of a top Biden adviser, lost six clients at the end of last year. Putala Strategies, led by Chris Putala, a former aide to Biden, also saw a decline in lobbying revenues and lost seven clients.

On the other hand, TheGROUP DC, which has ties to Biden’s former vice presidential legislative affairs director, reported a 10 percent increase in lobbying revenues last year. The firm has added new clients since the election and continues to maintain a steady flow of business. Overall, lobbying firms with connections to the new administration have seen a significant uptick in business, while those linked to the outgoing administration have experienced some challenges.
